The Fugees (Lauryn Hill Solo) by The Smoking Section on Mixcloud
Lauren Hill fans have "NO CHill" x the love for Ms Hill has caused countless remixes of her vocals from classics but an enterprising Lauryn Hill fan decided to modify The Fugees classic 1996 album The Score to better suit his own preferences by simply erasing all of Pras and Wyclef’s verses. LMAO This fool is a genius but I'm sure Clef x Pras arent too pleased with this but us lovers of good music are lovin' it...I gotta come clean I often wondered just how much Lauren's vocals stood apart b/c we all knew Lauren lyrically destroyed that LP even thogh it would never have been that goo w/ just Ms. Hill. Words by Chet Manley: “I’ve always wondered what a solo album with more of a hip-hop focus would sound like from her,” says the person behind the mix (working under the presumed pen name of Chet Manley). The tight 26-minute version of the album was dropped just in time for Ms. Hill’s 39th birthday (happy birthday Lauryn!). Coincidentally I hear this is the anniversay of the release of "Killing Me Softly" ? I do know "The Score was released on Feb 13, 1996. Listen below and see what you think of a Fugees-less Fugees album.
